‘And almost all things are by the law purged with
blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission’. Heb. 9:22
The above phrase is a biblical expression, also known
as Moses’ law or Mosaic law in the Old Testament. However, according to
the belief of Christians this law has been changed after Christ shed his
blood to save the world.
Nevertheless, Meles Zenawi who adhere the Old
Albanian Communist Style on one hand, still believes in this archaic
idealism on the other while trying to be free market (sic capitalist) and
democrat. This indicates (shows) that Meles will dress himself in many
coloured clothes trying to deceive those who unaware of his real intention
could only see the different clothes he put for those occasions. This
shows to what extent Meles will go to keep himself in power. In fact he
firmly believes that if there is no bloodshed no survival for his blood
thirsty government.
Consequently, he is determined to create conflicts
and hostilities between nations, nationalities and even within clans of a
nation.
It is in our fresh memory that in April this year
(2008) TPLF’s cadres ignited fighting between the Oromo Guji and the
Sidama people around Malga Wondo (Wondo Genet) area which claimed the
lives of over 40 innocent people. In this case the fire (war) was
extinguished very quickly by the effort of graceful elders from both
sides. Thus, the elders have played a fantastic roll in bringing to an end
the hostility which otherwise could have taken more lives and damaged
enormous properties. This peaceful conflict resolution annoyed the TPLF
regime that was desired to see more bloodshed.
More over, presently there is a dark cloud hovering
in Sidama that the regime’s cadres are agitating another conflict in the
same area as well other Gujis near Bilate river.
We condemn this TPLF’s malicious act in its strongest
possible term, and urge the Sidamas and the Guji people to reject the
Woyanee’s shameful tactic, and live in peace and harmony as you have done
for many centuries. We also appeal to the international community to
condemn the Ethiopian regime for its atrocity against its own people.
